Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of equipment do you use? 
I use professional quality Nikon equipment. I have a Nikon D750 and a Nikon D5000. In my lens bag I have a 85mm 1.8, 18-55mm, 55-200mm, and for lighting I use an SB900 speedlight. 

How many photos will we get? 
The amount of photos you receive depends on the package you get. Look at my wedding and portrait collections for more information. 

Are all the photos you give me processed?
Everything you receive on your digital gallery and/or USB drive is fully processed. 

Can I print these images on my own?
Yes! Once I finish editing the images from your session, I deliver a digital gallery and/or a USB drive to you. You are then able to print your images for personal use only and are able to post them on facebook, twitter, instagram, or your preferred social media site. All I ask is that you do not crop, add filters, change colors, or alter any of the images in any way. I do offer print options, so if you are overwhelmed and have no idea where to print, or just simply want the best print quality, I would be happy to do it for you! :) 

How long have you been a photographer?
I discovered my love for photography in high school but I have been working as a professional since 2010!

Can I use props?
Of course! I am a huge fan of props and believe they make each session unique and true to your style and personality!

Who will be shooting on my wedding day?
Yours truly! If you book my ultimate wedding package then you will be provided 2 photographers.

Can family & friends take photos while you are taking photos?
No. Because of time constraints and the need for my clients to give full attention to the session, guest photography cannot be permitted during the formal photography time. If time permits, I will make opportunities throughout the formal photography for guests to take photos. Otherwise, guests are welcome and encouraged to take photos at any other time throughout the wedding and reception. 

Where are you located & are you willing to travel?
I am located in the Balsam Township of Bovey, MN just 30 minutes North of Grand Rapids. I moved to Balsam from Bemidji, MN in 2016. Because Bemidji is close to my heart I still offer sessions there with no additional travel charges (select dates only). If you are located outside of these areas, that is not a problem. I am available to travel worldwide! Send me an email about your travel & destination information. 

What type of photography are you known for?
High School Seniors, Weddings, & Family sessions are mainly what I shoot but I love to take photos of everything! 

Do you think prints & albums are important?
Definitely! Prints last a lifetime and really come alive when they are displayed in your home. I have lots of printing options and would love to share more information if you are interested. 

Does sales tax apply to us?
Yes! If you live in Minnesota, I am required by the state to charge sales tax.
